Application Support Engineer II

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc
  • AWS Practitioner certification of higher
  • 3-5+ years of experience supporting ION’s Wall Street Systems infrastructure in a Red Hat Linux or Windows environment
  • Ability to install and patch Wall Street components including desktop clients and diagnose infrastructure-related issues with ION’s Wall Street Systems using PROIV 4GL is required.
  • Experience across multiple infrastructure domains including RHEL, Windows, Oracle DBMS, TCP/IP networking, Windows Active Directory, IBM MQ, WebSphere, virtualized desktops (Citrix), and authentication platforms such as Oracle Access Manager
  • 1-3 years experience migrating applications to and supporting applications on AWS or other public cloud infrastructures
  • Ability to operate in an agile environment and proficiency with Confluence, JIRA
  • Experience with Commercial Global markets FX trading, derivatives products, and the underlying business processes across the entire FX trading lifecycle
  • Experience with global markets FX trading, specifically the functions related to the entire FX trading lifecycle
  • Experience with disaster recovery, resiliency, and automated testing tools
  • Experience with collecting requirements, creating software designs, and developing efficient implementations
  • Experience with Bash and Linux
  • Experience with full-stack development
  • Experience with CICD pipeline (CircleCI, Jenkins, or equivalent)
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect
  • Experience with data structure concepts such as linked lists, dictionaries, arrays, custom object creation, etc.
