Bridge Engineer

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Engineer in Providence, RI.Job Details:Serve as the lead structural engineer on projects including reviewing designs and plansProvide specialized technical input on transportation related projects, particularly vehicle and rail bridgesConduct load rating analyses for highway and rail bridges ensuring all structures meet regulatory and safety requirementsProvide conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new bridges utilizing pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber componentsReview and check design calculations for bearings, expansion joints, baseplates, and gravity walls, and prepare technical reports documenting findings and recommendationsEvaluate the impact of increased train speeds, utility modifications, and other operational changes on the integrity of existing bridges and retaining wallsPerform inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation design of existing bridgesUtilize computer software for the analysis and design of complex structuresPrepare technical specifications and design documents, report writing, technical engineering support, and limited inspection during constructionTelecommuting permitted 2-4 days per weekProfessional Engineer License or ability to obtain Professional Engineer License within six months of hire
