Chemist (Curtis Island)

SGS is seeking a full-time Chemist for a 12-month parental leave cover position to join the team on Curtis Island. You will need to be based in Gladstone for this position. You will be required to get the ferry from Gladstone the Curtis Island which is only a 15 min ride Monday to Friday. Responsibilities include, however not limited to:Laboratory operations and field sampling on the Curtis Is facility.Testing of cargo for assay of LNG and reporting to market requirements.Testing of waters, wastewaters and access in LNG plant.Provide chemical analysis of routine and non-routine samples as directed by the Client on an as required basis.Instigate, direct and control off-site chemical analysis for environmental, in-process hydrocarbon and LNG product testingProvide sample containers, collection, freight and analysis in a cost effective, timely, accurate and safe manner for off-site analysis.
