This is a hybrid position.

Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking a Senior Data Solutions Architect Responsible for translating the vision, goals and business requirements for a data analytics project or product into technical specifications. Designs fit-for-purpose data solutions using appropriate architectural design patterns that support business needs. Provides direction for data architecture design, planning and development and guides future updates and enhancements. Possesses a strong combination of IT, data governance, analytics, and creative skills. Plays a pivotal role in extending the next generation of the data ecosystem and operationalizing the most urgent data and analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Define, develop, and execute strategies to implement and enhance a well architected enterprise data ecosystem that supports organizational goals and promotes a better understanding of data and analytics
  • Translate business opportunities and requirements into technical specifications for data delivery and analytics and reporting use cases
  • Collaborate with the business, data scientists, data analysts and other data consumers on analytical solutions and architectural designs and optimize them for data quality, security and governance and deploy them to production
  • Identify and evaluate the business value of new and existing data sources and determining the best technical solution to deliver the value of data to consumers
  • Create and maintain complex logical (conceptual, relational, subject-level and dimensional) data models and other metadata deliverables at multiple levels of detail and functionality
  • Architect scalable data processing and analytics solutions, including technical feasibility and proposal development for data storage, processing and consumption
  • Provide technical mentoring and training to the organization in industry best practices, data architecture, data integrity and data innovations

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in data management, computer science, information systems, mathematics, data/analytics or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3-4 years of work experience in data management disciplines including data integration, data modeling, solutions architecture, optimization and data quality
  • Understanding of the Business Intelligence, Data Engineering and Data Science and Data Governance processes and platforms
  • Understanding of common data architecture frameworks, Data Vault 2.0 certification is a plus, but not required
  • Understanding of metadata models, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sources
  • Skilled working across multiple deployment environments including cloud, on-premises and hybrid
  • Knowledge and use of Snowflake, PowerBI, and warehouse automation tools are recommended.
