As an Employee Relations (ER) Investigator, you are responsible for the execution and ownership of investigating Employee Relations concerns and providing expert consultant and guidance to managers and employees.As directed by the Lead Director of Investigations, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and allegations of workplace misconduct, including by not limited to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, workplace violence, and other policy violations. This role ensures that all investigations are conducted in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.Key Responsibilities:
Plan, conduct, and document detailed and unbiased investigations into employee complaints and allegations. Gather relevant information, interview involved parties, and review pertinent documents and records.
Ensure investigations comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies. Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry best practices.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of all investigations and employee relations matters. Ensure documentation is complete, secure, and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and practices to ensure consistent and fair handling of employee relations matters. Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on policy-related issues.
Prepare clear, concise, and accurate investigative reports that summarize findings and provide recommendations for resolution. Present findings to senior management and other stakeholders as needed.
As needed, assist with training on employee relations topics, including workplace harassment, discrimination, and conflict resolution. Educate employees and managers on policies and procedures to prevent future issues.
Required Qualifications:
At least 7 years of relevant overall experience
At least 5 years of Employee Relations Investigations experience
Willingness to travel up to 10% (including plane travel)
Preferred Qualifications:
5-10 years of Employee Relations experience
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple investigations simultaneously
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
Strong organizational and project management skills
Master’s degree preferred
Education:Bachelor’s Degree required; equivalent work experience may substitutePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.40This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
