Environmental, Health and Safety Manager

Description:Direct Hire.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, administer, train, and ensure policy compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations
  • Ensure each facility has proper documentation to demonstrate compliance to regulations, requirements, and company policy
  • Accident investigation, file maintenance and OSHA record keeping
  • Recommend systems and policies ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and company goals/objectives
  • Maintain safety files, records, and training database
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections and recommend preventative/corrective measures where necessary
  • Assist with customer audits and complete all required safety and environmental questionnaires as submitted by customers
  • Review SDSs and all new or modified processing equipment and notify management of any potential “unsafe” conditions
  • Chair the site Safety Committee and supply guidance to management
  • Coordinate employee medical surveillance, industrial hygiene, and environmental monitoring
  • Other duties as required

Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years of related experience and/or training
