- Develop, implement, administer, train, and ensure policy compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations
- Ensure each facility has proper documentation to demonstrate compliance to regulations, requirements, and company policy
- Accident investigation, file maintenance and OSHA record keeping
- Recommend systems and policies ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and company goals/objectives
- Maintain safety files, records, and training database
- Conduct internal audits and inspections and recommend preventative/corrective measures where necessary
- Assist with customer audits and complete all required safety and environmental questionnaires as submitted by customers
- Review SDSs and all new or modified processing equipment and notify management of any potential “unsafe” conditions
- Chair the site Safety Committee and supply guidance to management
- Coordinate employee medical surveillance, industrial hygiene, and environmental monitoring
- Other duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree
