Job Title: Event Chef (Catering)

Job Summary:

We are seeking passionate and professional Catering Event Chefs to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled culinary professional with a deep respect for the culinary arts and hospitality. They are punctual, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced environments, ensuring that every event is executed flawlessly. This role involves preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for a variety of events while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Busy season focused May - October.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with event specifications and company standards.

Ensure all food preparation and presentation align with culinary best practices and event requirements.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas, adhering to food safety regulations.

Work efficiently under pressure to meet event timelines and guest expectations.

Collaborate with event coordinators, servers, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution.

Lead and manage kitchen staff during events, delegating tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations.

Adhere to portion control and waste management procedures to maintain cost efficiency.

Uphold professional demeanor and punctuality at all times.

Troubleshoot and resolve any culinary challenges that arise during events.

Assist in menu planning, food purchasing, and inventory management when required.

Maintain knowledge of current food trends and culinary techniques to enhance event offerings.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a chef in a catering, banquet, or high-volume event setting.

Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred but not required.

Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.

Ability to execute a variety of cooking techniques.

Ability to stand for long hours.

Ability to lift and hold up to 50 lbs regularly and consistently.

Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining composure.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Strong teamwork and leadership abilities.

Valid drivers license & reliable transportation and ability to travel to various event locations as needed.

Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
