Job PurposeTo ensure that relevant IT processes that support the efficient and effective delivery of Infrastructure and Application Support services are reviewed and will lead and set direction for the adherence to the processes and the application of best practice and standards that will result in stable, well managed, transitioned and highly available systems.National Grid is looking for a seasoned and outstanding Project/programmed leave with service delivery experience who is passionate about customer relationships, execution excellence and collaborating with teams and partners for success.The position requires a strong technical and large, complex service delivery and project management background with demonstrable stakeholder management, engagement, and interaction with senior leadership on a regular basis. Managing a matrix team of technical consultants, delivery partners and group of vendors delivering various IT services with National Grid being the final accountable delivery partner

Key AccountabilitiesSingle point of contact for service delivery with customer with 100% compliance to Service SLA’s under the TSA. Work with Service Management Centre teams to identify and resolve problems with the services and support the resolution of problems in dependent services during project phase and where required post-handover to BAU. Engaging with key internal IT and Business stakeholders as well as outsourced application teams to ensure service needs are well understood and delivered.Implement project tracking mechanisms to be able to provide timely and concise updates on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders highlighting areas of risk and capturing key decisionsAssist in identifying potential conflicts in use of resources and other project scheduling issues and propose solutions and corrective actions to overcome the obstacles.Customer Engagement and delight to highest levels of customer satisfaction (CSR 4/5) – Proactive and regular interactions with CEO, CIO and other business directors. Gain confidence and trust through transparency and delivery track recordPartner and Vendor Management – Effectively collaborate and manage the partner ecosystem. Ensure all suppliers and internal support teams are making the right technical choices for National Grid’s service needs and shaping the delivery of the BAU operating model. Work closely with supplier management to drive the right outcomes for the portfolio.Capture risks to and from product including (but not limited to) technical, design, supplier, commercial, security (working with IT Security), asset health and operational risks. Make effective risk management decisions and drive appropriate mitigations.Governance and Reporting – Establish, manage, and deliver effective governance, reporting including any escalations across the managed services programTeam management – Ensure the team is motivated, pro-active, and skilled to always deliver customer commitmentsUnderstand the different phases of product delivery and can contribute to and assist the running of these. Maintain a product or process through the delivery phases, into live and then into retirement. Know how to lead a team through the different phases of the delivery product life cycle (SDF).Engagement with project teams to provide consultation on the delivery of projects to ensure that the run cost and quality considerations are present throughout the lifecycle of the design and build phases.Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience RequiredStrong relationship management skills.Ability to influence, manage and lead negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.Service now and jira experience preferred but not essential

QualificationsEducated to degree level in a relevant discipline or, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceITIL certification highly desirableProject Management Qualification (Prince 2, PMP, Agile) desirableSFIA™v5 experience desirable
