The Analyst I prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s. This position is full time Full-time position, Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of North Kingstown, RI are encouraged to apply.  The salary range for this position is $18-19/ hour (DOE). Must have a minimum of 8 College level Chemistry credits to be consideredEurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.Analyst I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:Preparation of samples using standard techniquesPerforming chemical analysis using standard techniquesCalculating dataRecording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisorPerforming routine instrument maintenanceResponsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins’ EHS and QA standards

Maintain backlogs and organizes departmental workloadResponsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to total organic carbon, ion chromatography, colormetric chemistries, automatic titrations.Works under close supervision using routine and standard methodsAliquots and weighs samplesWashes glasswareConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assignedThe ideal candidate would possess:Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas and conceptsAbility to complete work within time and quality constraintsCan work independently following written or verbal instructionsCooperate and coordinate both orally and in writingAble to follow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines:Organic preparationMetals preparation and analysisGas ChromatographyGas Chromatography/Mass SpectrometryRadio ChemistryWet ChemistryHigh Resolution preparation and analysisLow Resolution preparation and analysis
