2nd Shift Machine Opeartor 3pm-11pm Mon-FriJob Responsibilities
Operate and monitor machines, including removing finished products.
Communicate effectively with the production team, including toolmakers and inspectors.
Perform general maintenance and other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Monitor CNC and production machines for issues to ensure all parts meet specifications.
Measure finished products using calipers, micrometers and other gauging instruments.
Check and maintain oil levels, filling machines with the appropriate lubricants as needed.
Utilize various measuring devices (micrometers, plug gauges, ring gauges, pressure pins, etc.).
Visually inspect and gauge manufactured products against specifications to minimize scrap by ensuring accuracy.
Work from blueprints and engineering drawings
Maintain product identification and follow preventive measures to avoid product mix-ups.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Ability to read and work from blueprints
Basic mechanical aptitude
Prior machining experience preferably with CNC machinery
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Above-average fine motor skills and finger dexterity for handling finished products.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
Familiarity with measuring devices, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc
CNC operator experience is preferred.
