Makeup Artist Assistant

RI based wedding/event makeup and hair business is looking for a makeup assistant for the owner/principal makeup artist. This is an apprentice position. Applicants should have a serious interest in learning about event makeup and the operations of providing high end professional services. Because this is an apprentice position it is important that applicants are comfortable with constructive criticism, as well as a fast paced work environment focused on the clients experience. We have a great group of professionals in both makeup and hair that have been working together for years. We offer an inclusive, drama free, and supportive environment.

Requirements for this position are

- Weekend availability including holiday weekends. Occasionally we have weekday bookings however weekends are most common.

- Transportation to travel to event locations in RI, MA, and CT.

- Reliability is a must. Due to the impact on our clients, staff, and reputation applicants must be confident they can show up on time and when scheduled. We can have early morning start times that also include travel to the location. Applicants should be comfortable with this type of commitment in the mornings on weekends.

- Experience is not required but it is a plus. If you have images of your work please include them with your response.

Compensation

- $25.00 per hour.

- Travel pay when applicable $25.00 per hour.
