Units are available now in the newly constructed 390 Pine Street building that utilize a Shared Living Arrangement (SLA) setup to help both you and a disabled community member. LIFE Inc. is a not-for-profit organization supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in an array of housing situations in the community. A Shared Living Arrangement matches a capable disabled individual with a host individual in their apartment sharing supports and finances. An annual tax-free financial stipend is provided along with living expenses assistance to help you pay for your unit at 390 Pine Street! As a host you would be responsible for supervision, medical, and clinical support. Ongoing consultation and emergency assistance is provided to you by LIFE Inc.

If you are interested in making a difference in someone’s life while getting a discount on your rent this program is for you. An ideal candidate is a strong advocate for the disability community, interested in helping a person reach their goals and dreams, an excellent mentor, has experience in the disability care field and understands the benefits of this mutual relationship.

Annual stipend and respite services are provided by LIFE Inc. An ideal candidate needs to be a strong advocate and an excellent mentor. You must be able to assist individuals with medical appointments, transportation, budgeting, community skills, and social connections.

The former mill at 390 Pine Street has been redesigned and revitalized into residential and retail space over the last few years. Located just two blocks from the new Pawtucket/Central Falls Commuter Rail stop, the building is home to SHRI Studio, a yoga and wellness center, and the soon to be opened LIFE Cafe, a full-service coffeeshop and café proudly serving New Harvest Coffee. The spacious units offer loft living with open, bright floorplans and tall ceilings. Free parking on site, laundry available, and wellness services on first floor.
