The Project Manager will be responsible for the execution of a project from signed contract to close-out. The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of organization, attention to detail, and ability to perform in a dynamic environment. They should embrace SCPB’s vision to deliver a seamless, expert-driven experience for our customers.

Primary responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between SCPB and the client/owner communicating project status, change, and other relevant information

Gain an in-depth understanding of project scope and objectives through the review of drawings and meeting with client/owner and key stakeholders

Create and oversee the project budget, managing expenses and ensuring financial accountability; execute job costing, forecasting, and budgets vs actuals

Develop schedules and project timelines incorporating client/owner needs and any other dependencies such as the work of others or material availability

Determine and allocate necessary resources, including manpower and equipment

Coordinate deliveries and generate site logistics plans (cranes, material staging, etc.)

Address project challenges and make key decisions to keep the project on track

Manage the procurement of materials ensuring they meet project technical specifications, budget, and timeline

Facilitate communication between in-house design, fabrication, and install teams

Collaborate with the project design team and client/owner to resolve constructability issues

Coordinate the efforts of a diverse set of participants in a project, which include architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors; integrate schedules and all necessary paperwork including contracts, proof of insurance, and safety compliance

Monitor and document the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and be able to articulate the status on all assign projects currently in progress

Manage change in project scope, schedule, or budget, including writing and obtaining approval for change orders

Create, review, and manage RFIs and submittals

Ensure the project complies with all relevant regulations and safety standards

Close out projects with completion of all project documentation, ensuring all contractual terms have been met, conduct project evaluation, and manage handover

Work on multiple projects in parallel, each which may be in their own stage of completion

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management or related field

Ability to read/navigate construction documents and interpret drawings prepared by architects, engineers, or other drafts people intended for fabrication, permitting, or installation

Experience with project management and/or scheduling tools or platforms

Resolve problems effectively and clearly communicate results

Strong organizational skills

Strong prioritization skills and ability to re-prioritize in a dynamic environment

Expertise with standard Microsoft office tools: Outlook, Word, and Excel

Deadline driven, must be able to work under time pressure

Expert listening and communication skills

Positive, proactive and helpful attitude
