Senior Business Intelligence SpecialistEvaluate, configure, implement, monitor and support Business Intelligence platforms including analyzing and developing business intelligence solutions to complex business problems and assisting with implementation of solutions throughout entire project lifecycle. Duties include: Implement, configure and maintain Business Intelligence infrastructures, hardware and software, including associated vendor software on all platforms to support requirements at an optimum level. Maintain software license compliance and capacity planning analysis for future requirements. Analyze and define system scope, objectives and costs based on business and user needs, and analyze implications of business intelligence technology on current and future environments. Coordinate business intelligence activities to ensure project completion and user satisfaction. Establish deliverables related to projects and ensure use of established processes. Work closely with user departments to gather and interpret business requirements. Document and translate business requirements for data modelers, ETL and warehouse developers. Act as an administrator / architect of BI products to support, maintain, design, develop and enhance Business Intelligence environments. Oversee projects and provide leadership and mentoring in technical and non-technical aspects of the job, including instructing, directing and validating work of others. Provide input to the performance appraisal process, as needed. Provide coverage and support of production application systems. Conduct research and participate in business intelligence development efforts.Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, and 5 years of experience performing development, testing and administration for business intelligence applications. Experience, which may be gained concurrently, to include each of the following: - 5 years of experience implementing MicroStrategy software application upgrades and deployments;
- 3 years of experience using Python to import/export data;
- 5 years of experience maintaining software license compliance and conducting capacity planning analysis for future requirements.
- 5 years of experience analyzing and defining system scope, objectives and costs based on business and user needs, and analyzing implications of business intelligence technology on current and future environments.
- 5 years of experience establishing project deliverables and using established business intelligence processes.
- 5 years of experience documenting and translating business requirements for development and implementation by data modelers, ETL and warehouse developers.
