Skydiving manifest staff

Boston Skydive Center (BSC) in Smithfield, Rhode Island, seeks full- or part-time Manifest Staff to join our team from early May through the end of October.

Established in 2011, Boston Skydive Center is an elite, tandem-oriented, United States Parachute Association (USPA) group member dropzone. We are laser-focused on safety, professionalism, and customer service. BSC is building a team, not an org chart. Every person we hire will have an outsized impact and an opportunity to grow and learn.

Responsibilities

Be the first and last person most customers will interact with at the dropzone

Connect with customers through a positive attitude and smile

Make it your business to know every customer by name

Check people in and verify they are ready to skydive (e.g. ID, waivers, credit cards)

Promote video sales to every customer

Promote repeat jumps, social media accounts, and reviews after every jump

Build efficient load manifests and make sure they are operating smoothly

Help customers get ready for their skydive and answer any questions they may have

Work with pilots and staff to announce upcoming loads or changes to the schedule due to weather, aircraft fueling, or other reasons

Capture photos and videos of dropzone life to post on our social media

Be a critical part of BSC’s emergency response plan, knowing who to call and what to say

Share your unique knowledge and experience with the people around you

Be a part of a vibrant community that loves skydiving, not just a cog in a machine

Work in alignment with the dropzone’s mission, vision, and core values

Keep diversity, equity, and inclusion at the dropzone top of mind

Qualifications

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Knowledge of skydiving equipment and terminology preferred

Ability to work long days and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Legally eligible to work in the United States

Familiarity with Burble manifest software a plus

Familiarity with Shred video system a plus

Hours, pay & benefits

Work Schedule: Saturday and Sunday are our priority, but we may offer shifts other days if you want them and if need arises

$15 per hour
