Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Sr. Operational Risk Analyst. This position promotes risk-awareness and the overall effectiveness of risk management programs. The selected candidate will partner and collaborate with business operations, Internal Audit, compliance and regulatory agencies to support risk and compliance-based initiatives. The analyst will be responsible for supporting business line adherence to the established risk framework, ongoing supervision of business controls, and monitoring of the first line of defense to minimize risk exposures and strengthen the overall control environment. As this position will work closely with our Corporate Information Systems and Enterprise Cybersecurity group, information technology and cybersecurity knowledge is required.

Two days work from home available once trained to work independently.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in business unit risk assessments including:
    • Development of process maps
    • Risk and Control identification
    • Development of key control testing, and automation
    • Development of risk acknowledgements and self-identified issues
  • Contribute to the adequacy and effectiveness of business unit control environments
  • Identify reports and assist in resolution of control failure
  • Provide guidance to business units to assess risks of future initiatives and major process changes to identify potential mitigating controls
  • Coordinate execution and review testing results performed by 1stLoD to fulfill regulatory requirements such as MAR and PCI-DSS
  • Provide guidance to business units in addressing and closing of issues
  • Assist with development and delivery of risk management training efforts
  • Assist in preparation of operational risk reports and dashboards
  • Support state and internal audit reviews
  • Keep abreast of current developments in general Risk Management principles and identification of Key Reporting Indicators
  • Stay informed of updates to the regulatory environment to ensure proper compliance for ORM areas of responsibility
  • May be called upon to handle other duties as required

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years' experience is preferred
  • Commit to enhance business acumen
  • Pursue CPCU designation and other Risk Management Certifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships
  • CISA, CRISC, CISSP or relevant certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of Power BI a Plus
  • Previous experience with RSA Archer a plus
