Responsibilities held by the Staff Accountant include the preparation of monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. This position spends a fair amount of time producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. And during the monthly close, your responsibilities will also cover various aspects of internal reporting. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.Key responsibilities
Partake in annual closing processes
Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Vow to meet business deadlines
Proficiency in Invoice Processing
Expense reports experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Billing Statements experience preferred
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Efficient in ERP systems
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Excellent attention to detail
