Position: Urban Planner

Experience: 5–7 Years

Location:Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands

Qualification: Master’s Degree in Urban Planning / Town Planning / Regional Planning or related fieldKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparation of the Detailed Master Plan for the Township.Support preparation of land-use plans, zoning proposals, development control strategies and phasing plans.Assist in developing access and movement strategies, street hierarchy and land-use–transport integration in coordination with the planning team.Prepare and analyse existing and proposed land-use, infrastructure, social amenities and development potential.Support planning for mixed-use development, housing, commercial/tourism areas, public amenities and open spaces/blue-green networks.Assist in preparation of zonal plans, layout plans and development/phasing strategies for the township.Undertake site visits, data collection, stakeholder consultations and analysis to support planning proposals.Assist in preparation of planning reports, presentations, maps and other project deliverables.Support the team in incorporating client/authority comments and suggestions into the Draft and Final Master Plan.Assist in coordination with government agencies and stakeholders for necessary approvals and statutory processes.
