We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to be responsible for a comprehensive range of accounting functions. A key focus of this role will be ensuring the accurate and timely reconciliation of approximately $350 million in restaurant sales revenue.You will oversee the processing and monitoring of sales data from our Point-of-Sale (POS) system and the reconciliation of associated payment proceeds, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all recorded transactions.The reconciliation process is largely automated through the use of Trintech Cadency software, a leading system in this field. An important aspect of this role involves learning to effectively use and manage this system, as well as monitoring, reporting on, and working to resolve any variances and discrepancies that may arise, with the support of the wider finance team.Key responsibilities:
Cash ManagementReconcile weekly restaurant cash and resolve variances.Oversee cash cycle: deposits, delivery fees, catering invoicing, and payment platform processes.Monitor cash handling accuracy and escalate issues identified.Identify and escalate transactional or system issues.Ensure timely deposits, minimal variances, and incident reporting.Accounting & Month-EndPrepare and post journal entries in line with reporting deadlines.Complete P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.Provide month-end financial analysis and support audits.Process Improvement & CollaborationStreamline processes through automation and system tools.Work closely with finance, operations, and other teams.Support financial setup for new restaurant locations.Administration & Ad HocMaintain digital records and manage cash collection services.Handle general accounting tasks and support special projects.About you:Our ideal candidate is CPA, CA or similarly qualified (or at an advanced stage of their studies) and has demonstrates 3 or more years’ experience in an accounting roles, ideally working with high-volume transactional reconciliations.  Previous QSR or other retail experience would be beneficial.The ideal candidate will demonstrate:Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel.Experience with NetSuite ERP and Trintech Cadency or similar reconciliation software.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Proven ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.A resourceful and proactive approach with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to the team.BenefitsWe’re incredibly proud of our amazing people and always have each other’s backs.
