Take necessary steps to stop work if continuing the activity is unsafe or will create and unsafe condition.  Takes required safety and technical trainings necessary to work in assigned laboratory.  Follows analytical methods, plans and conducts lab tests in assigned area per laboratory administrative procedures.  Validates, and verifies analytical methods in assigned analytical area per laboratory administrative procedures. Performs installation (with vendor when necessary), maintenance, troubleshooting of the assigned instrument, software, and laboratory facilities. Writes technical procedures in accordance with validated analytical methods.  Other duties as assigned.
