Description: Job Title: Associate, Procurement (Buyer) Job Code: IMS20211210-70800 Job Location: Greenville, Texas Job Description: Procures, sources and negotiates the buying of machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of multiple organizations. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Monitors performance of suppliers. Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions. Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and market dynamics. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, and maintains necessary procurement files. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages and will expedite own purchase orders. Working across multiple locations with different instances of the ERP operating system requires a high degree of flexibility. This position is part of a Center of Excellence “Surge” procurement team requiring extreme flexibility and the ability to multi-task. Job Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of zero (0) to two (2) years of applicable experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered. General Procurement knowledge required.

Gerneral knowledge of RFQ’s/RFP’s required.

Must have the ability to evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals

High degree of negotiating skills required.

Knowledge of the FAR and DFARs desired.

Must have the ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Experienced in the SAP and Cost Point procurement systems desired

Experience with Expeditor desired.

Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance which requires US citizenship.
