We have a newly created role in our Fleet Management team for a Technical Services Supervisor. The role will function as the Technical Services Engineer (Airframe and Mechanical Systems) while also being responsible for guiding and supporting your fellow TSEs. The opportunity will allow you to work with domain specialists and maintenance providers nationally supporting our missionised DeHavilland DHC8 Classic and Bombardier CL604 fleets.This role is a great pathway for an experienced technical individual to further their fleet management experience and people leading skills. The position is suitable for someone with either civil or military experience as our operation shares elements of both industries. This diverse role offers a unique opportunity to be involved with missionised transport category aircraft delivering critical surveillance, and search and rescue functions for government contracts.Whilst the position is full-time, the nature of the work allows for flexibility with working arrangements including working from home and variable start and finish times. There is also the opportunity for interstate travel to work on-site at our various bases around the country.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversight all functions of the technical services team and encourage a high performance culture.Support the technical services engineers with guidance & mentoring.Act as the primary technical point of contact in the absence of the Head of Fleet.Support the maintenance engineers  with specialist advise for maintaining and troubleshooting of airframe and mechanical systems.Review, assess and provide recommendations on manufacturer’s technical literature.Liaise with equipment and aircraft manufacturer’s on technical and airworthiness issues.Monitor defects and submit Major Defect Reports to CASA.Perform technical investigations into reliability issues to identify causes and make recommendations.Support airworthiness record reviews to maintain compliance and the fleet configuration.Undertake special projects to enhance the technical status of the fleet.Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant and cost effective parts supply.
