BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure associates work safely and follow all applicable Company and OSHA safety procedures and standards.Conduct safety trainingLead 5S activities on shift or in areaFoster continuous improvement across the area and lead projects to improve processes. Participate on multiple kaizen teams, learn and utilize lean tools in work areaProvide feedback for quarterly and annual reviewsProvide training to department associatesTrack hour by Hour Production/Dept. MetricsMaintain KPI visual factory to include updating and posting charts, spreadsheet, or other critical info.Lead KPI Report Outs - deliver and report on WOW metricsPrioritize work – utilizing resources and support teams to manage competing prioritiesMake production and staffing decisions or alternate arrangement to ensure that schedules /expectations are met - maximum outputPull schedules in SAP for production or depts. using SAP, manage past dues for assigned areasManage Shift to Shift Transition by meeting daily with previous shift and following shift to review production conditions, schedules, and ensure adequate supplies for shift operation.Foster/promote positive shift to shift relations.Direct sub-groups/teams within a department or process.Manage break/lunch schedulesEnsure quality standards are followed by associatesEnsure that established scrap goals are metReview scrap data  and report issues to production managementInterface and work with associates within and across departments, coaches, engineers, plant staff, etcPerform other duties or task as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent 2 years’ experience in manufacturing Must be able to pass all assessments required for the position. Minimum level of MS Office proficiency & Basic computer skills, SAP, e-mail, etc. Strong verbal & written communications skills Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with people, projects, and issues. Acceptable performance as demonstrated through past performance reviews, attendance, coach’s assessment, references, etc. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities and achieve objectives in a fast paced environment Be able to lift 50 lbs Must be able and willing to perform area job task responsibilities Must be able and willing to learn and progress to the technical skillset of a Molding Setter.Preferred QualificationsComprehensive knowledge of the processes and equipment in the department/areaPrior leadership or management experienceExposure to lean manufacturing tools - willing to participate in Continuous Improvement TrainingSELECTION:Based on the criteria in the outlined in the job description, the below factors will be considered during the selection process for the Team Leader role:The Application Work Keys Assessment Scores Oral Interview (Candidates will be interviewed based on qualifications and seniority) Attendance Past Performance Reviews
