Position: Banner Developer

Location: Columbia, SC (can be remote for now but has to be onsite after Covid),

Type: Long term contract

w2 onlyRequired skills -Experience with SQL and PL/SQL are mandatory skills for a Banner developer. Grails is a mandatory skill for a Self-Service Banner developer Other skills required by the Banner development team are as follows. (Each individual developer does not have to possess every skill, but should be capable of learning) Experience with developing Banner extensions, understanding of the Banner architecture, Experience with UC4, Oracle Forms UC4, Oracle Forms, Shell/Python/Ruby Scripting, Pro C, Oracle, Linux environment, Strong PL/SQL skills; Version Control expertise (such as GIT and SVN); Technology skills to include: Eclipse IDE Java Development, Javascript and familiarity with the following Javacript frameworks: Backbone.js, jQuery, AngularJS. Technical Skills -

Nice to have skills -SOAP Web Services, Tomcat, Linux, Ant, JUnit, Oracle Application Programming Interfaces (API) design approach. Experience with Banner source and knowledge of the Banner architecture; ability to assess how a customization to a function will impact related functions. Ability to adapt to new versions of OS and database, ability to learn new programming environments quickly, and a thorough knowledge of systems infrastructure and application programming concepts. Experience with formal software development processes and development within a collaborative environment - ability to work collaboratively with BAs & functional users. Experience with software quality methodologies, ability to define, develop, and execute test plans that validate functionality based on user requirements & use cases
