This is a Full-Time W2 position.During the initial 2 weeks onboarding period would need to be 100% onsite.Onsite would be 1 day every week.WFH: 20% Onsite, 80% RemoteIf required, the candidate may have to travel up to 5-10% OverviewDatasoft Technologies is looking for a Business Intelligence/Data Visualization Engineer who develops effective, high-quality technical solutions that meet the business requirements. Provides data that is accurate, congruent and reliable and ensures the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems. Educates and trains users on the use of data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms and content. Responsibilities
  • Works with business users to determine requirements, priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and develop BI and data management (DW) strategies.
  • Partners with business and development teams to design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reports. Provides leadership in facilitating information gathering, structured documentation and presentation of findings to all levels of management.
  • Conducts analyses of functional business processes and functional business requirements and participates in the development of business cases in the support of process changes and/or IT projects.
  • Develops prototypes and proof of concepts for specified business challenges.
  • Applies knowledge of advanced algorithms and problem solving experience to build high-performance, parallel, and distributed solutions.
  • Performs code and solution review activities, then recommends enhancements that improve efficiencies, performance, stability, and lower support costs.
  • Manages medium-scale projects and performs cost analysis to determine the most cost-effective way to solve business issues
  • Measures performance of delivered services through a set of agreed metrics. Manages appropriate action to make corrections so that all services agreements are met.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Computer Science or Information Systems
  • MS degree (preferred).
  • 5+ years of technical experience in Business Intelligence to include 3+ years of experience in visualization technologies and tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI
  • Python
  • AWS experience preferred
  • S3, Terraform, Glue, Spark, Hadoop, Linux, Networking, Athena
  • Nice to have: Qlik Sense, PowerBI, AWS Click Site and Palantir
