Summary Supports IT/Programming and Computer Operations. Responsible for ensuring programmer-requested jobs are scheduled/processed in a timely/efficient manner. Responsible for monitoring all systems and notifying programmers of abends and errors. Description Position Purpose: Computer Operations is ISO 9001:2015 registered organization that provides secure and reliable Host infrastructure that is actively monitored. This is accomplished through risk-based thinking, using repeatable processes, interaction with various hardware devices, and effective collaboration with our customers to power the business.
What You'll Do: •Schedules programmer-requested jobs through the automated scheduling system. Verifies scheduled loads for accuracy and performs quality checks.• Provides scheduling coverage that includes abend notification and restarts.• Processes and organizes incoming mail and in-basket requests.•Notifies I/S programming staff of JCL errors and production abends. Keeps customer informed of job status. Updates and generates various reports and participates in assigned projects as required by management.To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year job-related experience.
We Prefer That You Have: - Working knowledge of job stream content within I/S Operations. Working knowledge of automated scheduling systems.
Preferred Software and Other Tools: - INFORM, JHS (Job History System), ZEKE Scheduler
