Description We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Controller to join our team in the Government Contracting industry based in the Baltimore, Maryland area. As a Controller, you will be at the forefront of financial operations, overseeing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities include: Accurately processing customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintaining precise customer credit records, updating them as necessary Resolving customer inquiries professionally and efficiently Monitoring accounts and initiating appropriate action when required Keeping track of ongoing projects, ensuring all billing formats and contract requirements are met Utilizing your skills in Accounting Software Systems, DCAA, ERP Solutions, and other accounting functions to ensure smooth operations Overseeing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Participating in budget processes, providing insights and recommendations Becoming a proficient user of Costpoint - Deltek, using it to optimize accounting processes.Requirements Extensive experience in government contracting Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems In-depth knowledge of DCAA requirements and regulations Familiarity with ERP Solutions Ability to perform all accounting functions Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Solid understanding of auditing procedures Experience in budget processes Proficiency in Costpoint - Deltek Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field CPA or similar certification preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
