We are looking for a skilled and dedicated DAS Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in installing and ensuring the functionality of communication systems that are vital for public safety.The DAS Installation Technician will be responsible for the physical installation, configuration, and testing of ERRCS and DAS components. The role requires hands-on experience with RF signals, cabling, antenna installation, and power systems. This position is critical in ensuring the reliable operation of systems that enhance communication for first responders in large buildings and complexes.Location: Columbia, SCContract Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience in the installation of communication systems, RF equipment, or similar technology.

Experience in running and terminating coaxial and fiber optic cables.

Experience in using cable testers to verify cable integrity - either directly experienced or capable of being trained under supervision.

Basic understanding of RF signal propagation and experience using spectrum analyzers or signal meters.

Experience in antenna installation, including alignment and mounting.

Proficiency in using power tools for mounting and installation tasks.

Basic knowledge of electrical systems, including the installation of battery backup systems]

What You Will Be Doing

Install and configure Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs), donor antennas, and DAS antennas throughout buildings.

Run, terminate, and test coaxial and fiber optic cables to connect system components.

Mount and align donor antennas on rooftops or other high structures.

Measure and analyze RF signal strength using spectrum analyzers and signal meters to ensure compliance with coverage requirements.

Utilize cable testers to verify the integrity and performance of coaxial and fiber optic cables, ensuring that all connections meet required specifications.

Install and connect battery backup systems to ensure continuous operation of ERRCS during power outages.

Employ safety gear and practices when working on rooftops, in confined spaces, or in other potentially hazardous environments. .
