Data Governance Manager: EMAP

Job Purpose:The Data Governance Manager will be responsible for leading the rollout, adaptation, and embedding of the organisation’s enterprise data governance framework. This framework is in the implementation phase and requires strong leadership to ensure it is effectively adopted across all business areas. The role ensures that data is accurate, consistent, secure, and used ethically and in compliance with relevant regulations. The postholder will drive initiatives to improve data quality, enforce data policies, and support regulatory compliance, while continuing the maturity journey across the EMEA and APAC markets.Key Responsibilities:Lead the rollout and embedding of the data governance framework across the EMEA and APAC regions, ensuring it is adapted effectively to local contexts and aligned with regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with relevant legislation.Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams, including data owners and stewards, to promote accountability, support data initiatives, and embed governance practices into day-to-day operations.Chair the data governance council and working groups, preparing materials, setting agendas, and driving follow-up actions to ensure effective oversight and decision-making.Monitor and report on data governance performance, including key metrics and OKRs, while providing training and support to build data literacy and governance capability across the organisation.
