Description OverviewThe Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of information technology systems within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, industry best practices, and technology trends to ensure the effective and efficient operation of IT systems.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
Technology Leadership: Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of IT systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and HITRUST, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Data Management: Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, including capital expenditures and operational costs.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality of service.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate IT risks, including cybersecurity threats and data breaches.
Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
5+ years of experience in IT management, preferably in the healthcare industry
Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and team leadership.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical proficiency in various IT systems and technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
