Electrical / Automation Engineer

A local engineering firm is looking to hire an Electrical / Automation Engineer to help design and build PLC and other control systems necessary to meet our customers’ needs. They have offices in both New Freedom, PA and Greenville, SC, and candidates can apply to work at either location.

Responsibilities

Program PLCs and other control systems.

Design and draw control panels, automation systems, and electrical systems.

Review Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Specify process instrumentation and review detailed specifications.

Collaborate with vendors to purchase equipment.

Commission and troubleshoot control and electrical systems.

Assist in proposal preparation, purchasing, and expediting.

Interface with customers and contractors.

Qualifications

Required

AS or BS in Electrical or Electro/mechanical Engineering

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in factory automation; 10 years of experience preferred

Willing to spend 10% of time traveling to customer sites

Independent and self-motivated

Preferred

Experience in Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming

Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and DAQ

Professional Engineers License

Proficient with AutoCAD or similar design programs
