As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.In this role, you will lead and develop a team of electrical and automation engineers while providing technical leadership across plant support, engineering design and capital projects. You will oversee engineering activities involving new and existing equipment, with a focus on safety, reliability, automation, energy efficiency and continuous improvement.Working in a supportive operational environment, you’ll help improve the safety of our people, the quality of our products and the reliability of our equipment.What Will You Do?You’ll lead and develop a team of electrical and automation engineers while ensuring engineering and project deliverables are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality. You will:lead, support and develop the Springhill electrical and automation engineering teamprovide technical leadership across electrical design, automation, project engineering and project managementsupport maintenance, operations and other engineering disciplines to deliver solutions that maintain a safe and reliable plantoversee the design development process and ensure engineering solutions comply with applicable codes, standards and statutory requirementslead the development and delivery of capital projectsprovide technical input into equipment procurement, upgrades and asset replacement decisionswork with suppliers, industry specialists, technical teams and plant stakeholders to resolve technical issuesidentify and implement practical improvements to plant safety, reliability, performance and energy efficiencymanage priorities across plant support, improvement work and capital projectsMore About YouYou’re an experienced electrical or automation engineer who can provide sound technical leadership while supporting and developing others.
