Overview: The position is responsible for designing and developing electronic control units for the resistance welding industry. The Electronics engineer plays a key role in the product development process, by developing and validating prototypes, refining the design into a scalable solution, and finally launching products into full-scale production. The engineer will lead technical reviews with cross-functional teams, lead manufacturing scale-up of new and updated products and complete other activities necessary for successful New Product Introductions. Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: • Embedded systems design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits related to existing and new products.• Design of microprocessor interface circuits to external systems.• Review and understand customer technical specifications and industry standards regarding technical requirements (materials, qualification, and performance requirements) of the product• Hardware / firmware design of PCBAs for products• Design, validate and maintain GUI software for product interfaces• Develop testing procedures for new PCBAs Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering field of study• 3+ years of relevant experience in electronic design/testing at a PCBA level.• Design, analysis, debugging, testing, and updating digital electronic systems and components (PCB/PCBA).• Design of test/validation procedures for digital electronic systems and components.• Experience with Altium Designer.• In-depth knowledge of C/C, Visual Basic, and Java• In-depth knowledge of electronics• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of Programs• In-depth knowledge of electronics test equipment• In-depth knowledge of component selection• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively The package includes salary with a comprehensive benefits plan that includes health insurance, profit sharing and 401(K).
