Engineer - Structural (Dams & Hydropower)

As a Engineer - Structural (Dams & Hydropower) team you will provide support to a variety of dam safety engineering projects, primarily in the United States, but not exclusively. The role require proficiency in reviewing pertinent dam information (geotechnical, hydraulic/hydrologic, structural, and construction), performing structural calculations and analyses, and developing design and analysis reports under the supervision of an experienced dam engineer.Key responsibilitiesProvide technical support to dam project managers, including design, analysis, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of dams.Perform dam analysis and design such as structural stability and strength analysis of concrete dams and appurtenant structures (spillways, outlet works, and other site civil structures).Perform detail checks and quality reviews of other engineer's work.Prepare structural evaluation reports, drawings, and specifications for dam projects.Prepare structural drawings and visual aids through coordination with the CAD team.Communicate with multi-disciplinary teams on various projects related to dams and other hydraulic structures.Show a desire to progress toward greater responsibility, including task leadership.Minimum requirementsPrevious experience with dams, levees, or water retaining structuresExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishKnowledge of Microsoft Office ProgramsPreferred Qualifications and ExperienceExhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibilityResourceful, highly organized professional with attention to detailStrong desire to learn along with professional driveExperience with related software such as AutoCAD, Mathcad, and commercially available structural analysis software (STADD Pro, SAP2000, Ansys, etc.)
