As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.Having such a diverse range of equipment, not to mention some of the largest you’ll find, we’ve got a lot of projects happening in our Coke and Iron department! Plus have access to a number of health and wellbeing initiatives like our EAP provider and fitness passport as well as access to corporate discounts across a range of goods and services.What Will You Do?Drawing on your operational plant knowledge while driving a safety first workplace, you will:manage and deliver a significant annual capital project portfolio of various projectsuphold and improve engineering governance of the teamsupport, coach and motivate your team to achieve optimal engagement, capability and performance levelsdeliver prioritised engineering support for the day-to-day operations of the plantprovide design engineering guidance to help minimize business risks associated with the application of technology in manufacturing improvement projectsprovide project engineering and project management guidance, assisting the delivery of various projects in a cost-effective and timely mannerprovide workload resource planning, by scheduling and resourcing for current and projected work and projectsactively participate in the rollout of departmental and business safety initiativesMore About YouSupported by your engineering qualification (e.g. Mechanical, Structural / Civil or Electrical), you’ve had extensive experience applying your expertise in a heavy industrial environment.With a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others, you will bring:experience in the management of large annual project portfoliosdemonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a teamunderstanding of engineering principles, design methodology and calculation practiceswell-practiced in design management systems that consider design risk and delivery of solutions through an escalating chain of approval and hierarchy of controlsproficient in utilising engineering design tools and software, including the interpretation and evaluation of modelling and analysis software packages.  Why BlueScopeAs BlueScope continues to go from strength to strength, a career with us provides you with the opportunity to grow and be rewarded.
