The Event Manager role is an integral part of the Operations team responsible for the delivery of the Night Noodle Markets. This is a one year full time fixed term contract with the opportunity to become a permanent role.

The roles focus is the successful planning and delivery of The Night Noodle Markets and other food events nationally to achieve budgeted gross profit. Key focuses of the role are delivering the events safely with world class standards across WH&S, engaging and managing key stakeholder, supplier and council relationships to deliver the events with a high

Day to day you will:

  • End to end management of the Night Noodle Markets, including leading the planning, implementation and execution of the events nationally
  • Manage the production schedule, bump in, event live and bump out of the events
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships including with, Councils, contractors and suppliers, stallholders and event partners
  • Manage budgets, ensuring that events are delivered on budget with acquiring competitive quoting and making appropriate budget decisions
  • Developing and implementing WH&S documentation and procedures at the events including leading toolbox meetings
  • Identify, maintain and expand the existing stallholder database working closely with the Sales & Account Manager
  • Work collaboratively with operations, finance, sponsorship and marketing to ensure better integration between the departments
  • Financial management of budgets including suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring PO's are raised and paid
  • Extensive work onsite pre and during events, leading the onsite team including casual staff

In order to be successful for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Strong background in operations and events management
  • Experience in WH&S management
  • Excellent at working with competing priorities, multitasking and being able to work effectively and efficiently with short deadlines and under pressure
  • Experience and passion to work in the Food /Event industry
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and highly developed organisational skills
  • Exceptional administrative skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with existing and new clients
  • Capability to work autonomously and show initiative
  • Outstanding communications and presentation skills both written and verbal
