Minero is seeking an experienced, innovative, and hospitality-driven Executive Chef to lead our culinary team!

Minero is a lively and welcoming Mexican Grill and Cantina located on Johns Island in Charleston, SC. Operated by The Neighborhood Dining Group (Husk, Delaney Oyster House, The James, Marbled & Fin), Minero pays tribute to Mexico’s rich culinary heritage while infusing the vibrant flavors and traditions of the American South.

You are someone who leads with creativity, confidence, and integrity—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and inspires excellence across the kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity to take the helm of a chef-driven concept within a nationally acclaimed restaurant group known for innovation, collaboration, and growth.

Responsibilities:

Lead culinary operations with integrity, creativity, and consistency to support a best-in-class dining experience.

Foster a positive, high-performing kitchen culture through hands-on mentorship, collaboration, and feedback.

Oversee food quality, kitchen systems, and sanitation standards with unwavering attention to detail.

Develop, train, and inspire kitchen staff while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Manage scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and kitchen labor to meet financial goals and operational needs.

Collaborate with the General Manager and leadership team to execute strategic business and culinary objectives.

Uphold safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards across all culinary shifts.

Stay current with culinary trends and continue evolving our seasonal, progressive menu offerings.

What You'll Bring:

A seasoned leader with at least 2+ years of culinary management experience in an high-volume restaurant

Passionate about exceptional food, sourcing, and technique with a deep understanding of modern plating and menu development.

Driven, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards for execution, cleanliness, and consistency.

Motivated to lead and train kitchen staff with a focus on mentorship, collaboration, and culinary excellence.

Clear and confident in communication, able to foster teamwork and alignment across BOH and FOH.

A commitment to hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
