JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATIONP osition Title : Quality Assurance (QA) SupervisorType of Job Description : New Job DescriptionPosition Type : FulltimeJob Catalog Position Title : QA SupervisorFLSA Status : SalariedDepartment : FSQALocation : Columbia, MOBusiness Unit : Principe FoodsReports to : Quality Assurance (QA) ManagerYears of Experience : 3 years in USDA Facility & 2 years supervisor experience.Number of employees Supervised : 4JOB SUMMARYThe primary function of this position is to assist the QA Manager with ensuring the company has the highest product quality that is safe for human consumption.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssistant to and direct backup for QA ManagerDirectly supervises QA technicians and coordinates their activities with assistance from QA ManagerResponsible for ensuring implementation of SQF Program protocols and standards.Works with QA Manager to help maintain HACCP program and all records associated with it, including the monitoring of the CCPs.Ensures all records and proper documents for SQF, HACCP and all pre-requisite programs are properly organized and maintained.Collaborates with Lab Manager on scheduled testingFollows up on any maintenance requests that are generatedDocuments all sanitation requests that are needed.Interacts with USDA on any NRs and any other concerns of the inspectors.Responsible for Internal pest control program supplementing the outside pest control programCoordinates internal audits (GMP, glass and brittle plastic).Assists Lab manager on any samples that need to be taken for analysisThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
