This role leads a multidisciplinary technical, and global, team of experts, and will be pivotal in integrating a variety of advanced manufacturing techniques, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics to optimize production processes, enhance product quality, and drive innovation in our products and solutions, as well as forward production manufacturing plants. Develop and execute the strategic vision for advanced manufacturing engineering, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives. Drive proactive solutions and efficiencies with forward-looking technology that enables Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Install excellence.
Lead the integration of AI, machine learning, and robotics technologies into manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
Oversee the optimization of manufacturing processes, including automation, robotics, and advanced materials, to ensure high-quality and cost-effective production.
Collaborate with R&D teams to drive innovation in manufacturing techniques and support the development of new imaging products.
Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, implementing robust quality assurance and control measures.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, supply chain, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes.
Manage the budget for the advanced manufacturing engineering department, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Lead a cross-functional team of experts to create an advanced manufacturing technology roadmap that aligns with our product needs in performance, cost, and quality.
Maintain the central Patent Evaluation Board for new process and product innovation through advanced manufacturing enablement.
Create a unified vision and strategy across the supply chain on how sites can leverage advanced manufacturing technology to drive productivity, capacity, and eliminate safety risks.
Maintain and own the Technical Career Path model for our integrated supply chain’s technical workforce.
Continue to build on our newly formed packaging team to modernize our packaging strategy for better cost, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Key outcome will be the expansion of this key driver across the product lines.
Embed strong financial processes and develop performance measurements to drive a strong Say-Do operating mechanism.
Collaborate and connect with all GE HealthCare segments and central functions to share learnings, leverage shared advanced manufacturing global labs, and external partners such as automation integrators, additive suppliers, and university collaborations.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in business leadership, preferably with P&L responsibility. Minimum of 15 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role; Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, master’s degree preferred.
Experience putting together business cases to foster quick decisions and investment, based on a clear, defined understanding of what is possible.
Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, and robotics applications in manufacturing, as well as experience with automation and advanced materials.
Successful track record of working with product engineering teams & CTOs to understand the needs of product designs, solutions, and services in contemporary ways to meet those needs.
Deep understanding of supply chain processes related to plant operations, logistics, product compliance, and safety.
Strong curiosity to learn how our products work and how they provide customer outcomes.
Ability to travel 25-50% of the time to global markets.
This position is to sit at one of our GE HealthCare manufacturing or engineering locations.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $224,000.00-$336,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
