Job Description

The primary purpose of the HAAMC is to manage the initial and continuing airworthiness of aircraftoperated by Toll Helicopters. Additionally, the HAAMC will act as a subject matter expert for technical airworthiness, the application of maintenance control principles and practices, and the certification of aircraft design changes.

The successful candidate will be required to prepare technical assessments and analysis reports to address airworthiness oversight requests from Toll Helicopters’ customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage aircraft airworthiness and technical integrity of aviation supporting systems on behalf of the AOC, ensuring that product operation and maintenance is carried out in accordance with approved OEM procedures, and that Company personnel are alerted to regulatory, OEM or company process changes that may impact airworthiness.
  • Manage quality audits on design organisations, maintenance organisations, and other service providers.
  • Support thepreparation of bid responses and the mobilisation of new capabilities within the business.
  • Establish processesfor aircraft capability improvements, engaging design organisations to deliver validated modifications.
  • Engagewith CASA representatives to assure compliance with requisite airworthiness regulations, and develop innovative ways of achieving regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Aeronautical Engineering or related aviation field
  • A thorough understandingof the 'Civil Aviation Act 1988 & 1998' and Civil Aviation Regulations
  • Technical understanding of aircraft systems and associated maintenance requirements (AW139 and Bell 412 aircraft highly desirable)
  • Experience conducting investigations and engaging with stakeholders and regulatory bodies, including CASA
  • Technical writing qualifications
  • Experience in a commercial environment, supporting the development of customer solutions
