Description We are seeking an HR Coordinator in Columbia, Maryland, United States. This role involves a variety of human resources duties within the telecom industry, including benefits administration, onboarding, data entry, and employment verification, among others. As a key part of our team, you will also handle electronic filing and respond to routine benefits questions.Responsibilities: Administer employee benefits and assist with open enrollment procedures Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including I9 verification Perform data entry tasks related to human resources functions Verify employment for both current and former employees as needed Maintain electronic filing systems for HR records and documents Respond to routine benefits inquiries from employees Utilize ADP Workforce Now for various HR tasks Conduct background checks in compliance with company policies Administer compensation and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies Handle benefit functions, ensuring all employees understand their options and benefitsSkills: Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now Experience with conducting Background Checks Understanding of Benefit Functions Knowledge of Compensation Administration Familiarity with Compliance procedures in HR. Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or in a similar role. Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now is required. Experience in conducting Background Checks is necessary. Familiarity with various Benefit Functions is expected. Knowledge of Compensation Administration is crucial. Demonstrated understanding of HR Compliance standards is essential. Excellent organizational and communication skills are necessary. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential. Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of labor laws and employment regulations is beneficial.
