Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic team at Parker Innovation Center. The Laboratory Scientist will play a crucial role in supporting our laboratory operations, conducting research, and designing new tests to meet the diverse needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will have a proficient background in laboratory analytical testing and instrumentation, be a strong communicator, and have some industry or leadership experience. Responsibilities · Conduct material analysis, root cause failure analysis, and novel research to address customer issues related to filtration technology. Work will be highly varied as we cater to several different engineering divisions. Candidate should be able to manage their time well and respond to a wide diversity of test requests utilizing resources at our site. · Perform general laboratory support duties including sample preparation, testing, equipment maintenance, and data analysis. Candidate will develop expertise with laboratory instruments beyond just operation, but also preventative maintenance, scheduling contractor service visits, and presenting scientific phenomena to customers of varying technical backgrounds. · Design and develop new tests and experimental protocols to support customer requirements, resolve challenges, and enhance our customer experience. · Utilize analytical techniques such as SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis), FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), and DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) for material characterization and analysis. Other instrumentation will include benchmark laboratory equipment. · Safely managing our extensive chemical inventory. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives. · Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization. Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the industry or academia.

Proficiency in SEM, TGA, FTIR, and DSC techniques is highly desirable.

Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Power Platform.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
