We are currently looking for a

Lead

Software Engineer

to head up the Sonar - Compliance team and Reporting team. Working with yourSoftware Engineering Manager, you will be providing technical leadership to your entire team for the platforms that you own. This is a predominantly hands on role that will be developing new features to our customers which meet the needs of our business. As a leader, your role also encompasses improving engineering practices, coaching and uplifting our agile processes and providing people leadership.

You will design, build and enhance the compliance and reporting capabilities ofone of our core application suites.This is a full stack, hands-on role that will see you developing new features that will improve our internal and externalcompliance and reporting capabilities.Your role will involve building with best practices and resiliency in mind, adhering to agile processes and dealing with business and technology stakeholders.

Your role will involvesolutioning, developing, deploying and supporting our Operational Support System platforms.Our customers rely on our products to connect, communicate and do business across Australia, NZ and Singapore.

What you'll do asaLead Software Engineer:

  • Development of stable, secure and well architected code
  • Drive technical decisions and direction within your team and platforms
  • Own the end to end delivery of your teams’ products/platforms
  • Manage key stakeholders for your team
  • Manage performance issues
  • People leadership and development
  • Recruitment of new software engineers as the business expands globally
  • Continuously improving our Agile practices to further push decision making down to the team level

Qualifications

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Strong understanding of the Java runtime and development practices
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation pipelines
  • Hands on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS)
  • Expert knowledge of message streaming technologies likeApache Kafka
  • Interest in learning Golang and React JS a plus
  • Are curious, tenacious, creative and a great team player
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach fellow teammates on coding and process standards
