Opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join Adient's automotive seating plant in Columbia, TN. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, planned and emergency maintenance in a JIT production environment. The shift hours for this role are: 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Responsibilities:

Responds and repairs machine breakdowns.

Able to handle all small maintenance tasks.

Performs scheduled preventive maintenance procedures.

Installs new plant equipment and systems, relocates existing equipment.

Fabricates equipment components, workstations and fixtures.

Modifies equipment to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety.

Keeps an accurate record of procedures, hours, and materials.

Responds as needed to emergency situations outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Assists production as necessary.

Performs basic electrical troubleshooting.

Responsible for general plant maintenance such as general plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear.

Assists in the day-to-day management of the Environmental Management system. Following all environmental work instruction and/or cleaning up spills or other duties required of the Environmental 1st Response Team.

Actively participates in Health, Safety and Environmental program by following all policies, procedures and work instructions that may include safety rules, safety observation audits, regulatory compliance, environmental awareness and audits, continuous improvement, investigations and the 8D process in order to develop root cause analysis for problem resolution as required.

Reports accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and informs supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, assets or to the public.

Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and ensures safe working procedures in assigned production areas.

Performs all roles and responsibilities as defined by the BOS System Policies and Procedures.

Completes other duties considered necessary by the Quality Manager.

Reviews and understands the Customer Specific Requirements.

Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalent

2 years of experience as Maintenance Team Member

Experience on the following machinery: Lathe, Milling Machine, Bandsaw's Grinders and Drill Presses
