This is a Full-Time W2 position, with no subcontracting, or C2C. "Third-party candidates do not apply ".WFH: Interface directly with the product. No more than 20% WFH is possible. Travel: unlikely but up to 10%. Engineering background is okay if the quality understanding is there.Overview Datasoft is looking for a process Quality Analyst For clients in SC, who drives quality improvement for assigned scope of responsibility, including a focus on reduction or elimination of field warranty cases through defining the areas for improvement, guiding the PMP from pre-analysis through to implementation for maximum effect, and monitoring and reporting the target achievement for the scope of responsibility, and who will be responsible for Target Achievement of Project and Product Warranty Quality Targets. An ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of the process, and quality steering. Responsibilities
  • Drives the monitoring of and reviews sensor data through direct interface with the Problem Management Process, Reporting Line Customer, Process Management department.
  • Reviews field-warranty problem landscape, prioritizes issues, and evaluates risk for all models built.
  • Accepts points into QC2 after appropriate handshake with the ML-T and allocates these to the correct LV/SV/MAV for the most effective problem-solving.
  • Provides expertise of client-owned problems in QC2 in the Product Quality Management (PQM) and Problem Solving Process (PMP) for the scope of responsibility.
  • Provide transparency for the assigned scope of responsibility.
  • Performs as SV through an agreed plan for resolution, guiding the LV in the problem solving process for all problems in the scope of responsibility.
  • Maintains knowledge of priorities and schedules for the PMP, and drives the achievement of the agreed dates.
  • Establishes and participates in cross-functional teams for quality improvement, as required.
  • Establishes communication with technical departments and suppliers as required.
  • Provides verification of problem resolution and sustainability, including containment effectiveness based on available data.
  • Complies to the Management System through appropriate training and awareness, as well as continuous improvement of the system and supporting departmental systems and activities.
  • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by operations supervisor.
Qualifications
  • BS degree preferably in Engineering or the equivalent of 4 years of technical automotive experience.
  • 2+ years of professional quality management, problem-solving, product engineering, process planning, or vehicle analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of critical modules experience (preferred).
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in technical/project teams, cross-functional teams, or management teams.
  • 3+ years of problem-solving process skills.
  • 3+ years of leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • 3+ years knowledge of MS Office software acquired through classroom or work experience.
  • Must have: some type of manufacturing experience. Formalized problem-solving tools are needed. (Fishbones, 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys) ISO is helpful
  • 3+ years knowledge of working with PQM system or similar Problem Management system, including incident creation, problem prioritization, and problem sheet updates (preferred).
  • 3+ years of English language skills, both oral and written.
  • 3+ years of German language skills (preferred).
  • 1+ years of technical automotive terminology and automotive knowledge.
