The ideal candidate will possess solid knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as experience with composites, GD&T, and various manufacturing techniques. Responsibilities include developing and implementing cost-effective designs and manufacturing processes, leading project management and process improvement initiatives, and providing technical support to other departments. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective designs, manufacturing processes, and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

Recommend and implement improvements to product, production processes, methods, and controls.

Prioritize project management, process improvement, problem resolution, and employee training.

Perform research, design, and development of new and sustaining manufacturing processes and tool design.

Conduct process evaluations, including production flow, assembly methods, and waste elimination.

Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.

Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results.

Design, develop, test, or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.

Provide creative and innovative engineering solutions to aid in the resolution of field and manufacturing problems and in the maintenance and improvement of existing products.

Implement all phases of project plans and monitor progress per established schedule and budget targets.

Maintain good relationships with customers, field personnel, and other departments to ensure the most efficient working environment.

Provide technical support to other departments as required to meet customer needs.

Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency improvement.

Represent engineering on cross-functional teams.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Provide technical support to Manufacturing.

Maintain technical specifications, process capabilities, and tooling libraries.

Work is typically performed in an office setting; however, may be required to go into the production or shipping/receiving areas.

Occasionally required to move about the office or plant.

Ability to identify, communicate, and participate in process improvement opportunities (LEAN) aimed at reducing cost, improving efficiencies, and increasing customer satisfaction.

Experience with composites, GD&T, material specification, surface finishing requirements, and manufacturing techniques (milling, turning, welding, surface treatments).

Previous work experience managing projects.

Conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.

Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to mentor and lead others.

Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
