Microbiologist - Food Testing

Full TimeThe Food Microbiologist is responsible for performing analytical methods, operating equipment/analytical instruments, and managing sample registration, testing and confirmation.The Food Microbiologist may have a supervisory role over an area within the laboratory, a particular suite of testing or provide general guidance to the Laboratory Technicians in the laboratory. The position will support method development, laboratory optimisation and have a major contribution to the objectives of the laboratory including PCR Setup and reporting.To be successful in this role, you will need to have:Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to structure thoughts deliberately, logically and directly.Strong attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.Good laboratory skills and practices.
