NIC South Carolina is currently seeking applicants for a .NET Developer for the implementation of our web-based applications and services for state and local government partners. The selected candidate will be part of a strong development team, and will be responsible for working with business requirements into functional web based applications throughout all stages of the SDLC.

The Developer will create and support large scale/complex applications by gathering requirements, designing, maintaining, developing, testing and deploying applications with security, efficiency, maintainability, and usability in mind.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, review, design, code, and implement internet and e-commerce applications using Microsoft technologies (ASP.NET, .Net Core, C#, Visual Studio, Windows Communication Foundation, Web/Rest API, MVC, Entity Framework, etc.), Angular 9, and other open standards products (JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, JS framework, etc.) for both traditional browsers and mobile devices
  • Set up and maintain data structures and database environment
  • Perform code reviews
  • Architect complex applications
  • Mentor fellow developers
  • Serve as team member on complex applications requiring multiple developers
  • Maintain existing applications
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Development Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in developing large scale web applications using Microsoft technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • .Net Core, Angular 9
  • C# /ASP.NET/ MVC/WebApi
  • Visual Studio/Azure DevOps
  • MS SQL Server / T-SQL / LINQ / Entity Framework
  • JQuery / CSS / Javascript / Bootstrap / Foundation
  • Good understanding of WCF, Restful Api, SOA, and design patterns
  • Windows Server / Active Directory / IIS knowledge
  • Networking and Security concepts
  • Microsoft Azure is a plus
  • Prior CMS experience a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Represent NIC SC with integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting skills, critical thinking and flexibility in approach
  • Ability to communicate technical directions over the phone or by email to users of all levels
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to follow standard processes
  • Strong team player, adaptable and hard working
  • Desire and willingness to learn new technology and software
