We are helping our growing client to fill a

Network Engineer III position.Our client is seeking a Network Engineer III who will be responsible for the maintenance, administration, and architecture of the company’s network. Your primary duties will include maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems, performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks, and replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary. You will also be working closely with the users of our network to identify potential issues and fix existing problems. To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. The candidate will also need to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers. The candidate must have the capability to have a deep knowledge of application transport, network infrastructure protocols, network segmentation and network access control. Candidates should have the ability to collaborate with other teams for network solutions. This includes, but not limited to, InfoSec, Server and Storage and Application Development.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years supporting networking and collaboration services to include production and technical support or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience supporting large Network Infrastructure 1,000+ employees.
  • Experience designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining Enterprise Class Data Centers.
  • Experience supporting Enterprise WAN Infrastructure using multiple connectivity technologies such as MPLS, SD-WAN, ELAN and IP-Sec VPN.
  • Excellent knowledge of Putty or SecureCRT, Change Management, Network Cabling, and Network Racking/Stacking/Auditing HW is required.
  • Configuration and implementation of network hardware, including routers, switches, load balancers, security appliances, wireless controllers, VPN appliances, radius, and monitoring tools etc.
  • Configuration and implementation of network cloud infrastructure, including routers, load balancers, security appliances, VPN appliances and monitoring tools etc.
  • Certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto and/or AWS in one or more domains a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary.
  • Highly organized, structured, process oriented, and a self-starter
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with internal and external business/technical teams.
  • Experience with large project rollouts
  • Experience designing, evaluating, recommending, and implementing networking solutions
  • Strong technical project management and engineering skills.
  • Provide Troubleshooting and problem solving for network and application issues.
  • Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to the standardized network topology, equipment, operational support and configuration.
  • Interact and negotiate with application owners, project managers, vendors, consultants, and contractors to architect, design and implement network solutions
  • Follow standard operating procedures and applications for service, change, and incident management
  • Utilize Network Monitoring Tools to maintain and report on the health, consumption, and availability of the local and wide area network via Metrics and KPI’s
  • Perform routine infrastructure testing and evaluations to identify challenges within our infrastructure and develop a plan to remediate them
  • Strong time and workload management skills to handle multiple projects and tasks within rapid timeframes
  • Strong communication/written skills to provide in-depth technical or summary documentation
  • Perform network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation

Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsHands on 7+ yrs. of experience in one or all the following areas:
  • Cisco Datacenter infrastructure to include Nexus 9k, 7k, 5k, 3k, 2k and Cisco ASR/ISR routers
  • Cisco Core, distribution, and Access layer devices
  • Experience in a multi-site Cisco Meraki environment
  • Experience in network segmentation and network access control
  • BIG IP F5 load-balancers or Cisco ACE load-balancers
  • Network security practices utilizing Palo Alto NexGen Firewalls
  • Cloud connectivity technologies to AWS, Azure, and Office 365
  • Network documentation tools such as Project and Visio
  • Experience in programming and scripting languages such as python for automation and working with API’s
