Job Description

Operates the HDPE mixing/blending system to meet production schedules of HDPE extrusion area.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Maintaining proper compound volumes to achieve efficient production rates.
  • Assisting with unloading and reporting of bulk raw material receipts through the CMS computer system.
  • Raw material testing as required.
  • Completing required process parameter documentation and paperwork as instructed by shift supervisor.
  • Follow the procedure for raw material formulation review and approval.
  • Fill out the streaker raw material tracking sheets each shift.
  • Maintaining clean work area.
  • Assisting other HDPE mixing operation to meet shift’s production schedule as required by supervisor.
  • Performing assigned tasks in a safe manner.
  • Completing other assignments as required by the shift supervisor.
  • Sweep the floor in the Mix Room Area. Including behind and underneath the master batch area along with the area behind the Supervisor’s Office.
  • Other activities as assigned.

Qualifications

2-5 years manufacturing experience preferred.

Previous mixing operator experience in a continuous production environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read, interpret and complete production schedules and reporting forms.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts.
  • Previous PC or Mainframe computer use.
  • Proven problem solving skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
